Amazing Sweater by an Amazing Knitter

Amazing Finally Finished!  Darlene finished the Meg Swanson, totally fair isle sweater that she has been working on for over a year.  This is truly a sweater to be proud of.  It is out of Berroco Alpaca Ultra and from one of those patterns that you have to do a lot of calculations for and draw your own charts and really think about.  See where fearless knitting can get you?  This is her second sweater ever.  She has been knitting almost two  years.

Its a Busy Busy Day...

I've been straightening and rearranging all day trying to make things fit.....

Basketofgood There are new colors of Mignon - a superwash fingering weight merino - REALLY Soft.  There's some new sport weight wool - Sydney.  And a new baby yarn called Bambino Soft - It is very appropriately named.

Then a new yarn rep came in - there'll be Misti Alpaca in the spring and some other new stuff that is so colorful and fun that arrives sooner.

There are some new things in recent projects, including my new favorite Halloween scarf from Chinchilla  and Carioca that was quick and easy and made to look special with ribbon fringe.Chinch And a vest I made up the pattern for using that wonderful graph paper.  I used Crystal Palace Aran in Black and then some of my Hand Dyed and Hand Spun yarn for the design.

Not so little sheep has lost its wool

I  brought home three bags full..........Sheep Do you think they get embarrassed when they are like this?

We went to the fair last night to see the spinners competing.  This whole thing is organized by a wonderful sheepy person - Kim Caulfield - who raises sheep, dyes and processes wool that is a dream to spin.

Spinner SO since Darlene and Jan and I all have fleeces we are having a clean the fleeces day at the store.  If you have always wanted to do that or learn how this would be a good day to show up.  It'll be October 6 - that's a Saturday - and will start early afternoon.  The date is tentative so watch the calendar.
