Tagua Nuts
make wonderful buttons and pendants. We have these.... Tagua nuts, also known as "Vegetable Ivory" grow on the Tagua Palm in the Amazon rain forest and have been used to make buttons and jewelry since the 19th century. Its purchase helps support the native folks and supports them continuing to care for the trees and ultimately preserving part of the rain forest. One palm's yearly harvest equals the ivory from one elephant and the stuff is as strong as ivory.
There's lots of new yarn in too....Crystal Palace sent way too much stuff...Iceland, Taos, Merino Stripes (Fuzzy self striping Merino), Kid Merino (Lace weight Merino/mohair), Merino 5 (Superwash worsted/dk weight) and some samples too...really pretty sweaters from Taos and Merino Stripes.

Love those periwinkle ones! I need to get more Bonsai for my camisole soon, hopefully I find SOMETHING that needs a button. LOL
