Yeah Rain

I love this weather - it could do this for a long time before I got tired of it.  Great day for sitting inside and knitting, cup of tea and a warm cat and it's perfect.....

Here's the beginnings of a silk bracelet I am doing - knitting with silk hankies I dyed.  I'll be demonstrating knitting with silk hankies at Fiber in the Boro.  It is fiddly because the silk is sticky, but the results are so pretty. 

 

And there is new yarn Rustic from Cascade is out on the shelves and so is SUPER SOFT Eco Alpaca

Here's a close up - it is hard to teel but there are leaves all around the edge....

 
The Rustic is beautiful - a mix of wool and linen that turned out pretty nice.  The eco alpaca is just undyed good quality alpaca in a worsted weight.  (I say "just", but OMG you should feel it, dyes really make yarn harsher to touch)
