I learned a valuable crochet lesson last night. Beware of splitty yarn. I tried to use a lovely fingering weight red yarn that was too loosely plied to crochet with and was struggling the whole time. It was great for knitting but not crochet. A single ply I had in the stash worked much better. I am working on designing some crocheted cowls and scarves. I thought they would be best in a light weight yarn, but it turns out I am wrong about that and they will be in DK to chunky weights.
