We want to see your projects and share them with our community so we can all inspire (enable) each other. You may email pictures of your completed project to email@example.com along with the name of the pattern and the yarn used or bring your project to the shop and we will photograph it for you!
No one else in town that I can tell teaches this so I do it every now and then. I love to embroider and do it on lots of things. I love learning about the kinds of embroidery done in different cultures and incorporating it into mine.
The class is June 13 but the deadline for signing up is June 5th so I can the materials together. You can gather your own supplies or I can do it for you. See the classes page for more information

Also on May 9th is the first meeting for the Learn to Knit Afghan. This is an afghan by Barbara Walker and features a lot of different stitches in blocks. You can pick and choose which you like, but you learn a lot by doing them. Other folks have said they really learned so much be doing this kind of Knit Along. We will meet once a month through December - you can attend as many or as few as you like, and start at any point. Each class will feature a certain technique. Classes are free with purchase of the yarn for the project. I have the books in stock but to be sure to get your copy, please notify me in advance that you plan to participate.
Hey, next Saturday the Learn to Knit Afghan class starts. Class is free when you purchase your yarns for the project here. But if you are wanting to special order yarn for your project, I will be ordering from Brown Sheep on Monday at noon. It could then be here in time (no guarantees but probably) Just saying, cause Brown Sheep Nature Spun would be my choice for the afghan....I can also order Plymouth Encore for you on Monday and there's a small chance it would be here in time. The book calls for 80 oz of worsted weight yarn in five colors - you can use more or less (I have 6 in mine). You can also do a smaller version - It is HUGE if you do all the squares. Next week is the first section - knit and purl stitches - but there a couple of tricky ones in this too that we'll be working on. If you do not have your book yet - I have one left - please let me know by Monday if you are going to need a book.
