I had a fun this morning doing a presentation at Oakland High School on fiber and knitting and weaving and such.  There is a textiles class there and they have a wonderful teacher who lets them design their own stuff and teaches them lots of great fibery things.  But....their stash is lacking in good yarns to work with.  Since we know the store motto - Life's too short to knit with ugly yarn - I said I would see what I could do about that.  I have some I can donate but they should have more. So if any one has yarns or  needles and notions they want to donate to a great bunch of students, bring it by here and I will see that it gets to them. I bet fabric and sewing stuff would be helpful too.   I'll be taking donations for them through the next two weeks at least and possibly later too.
