This is the first and I am working on making production a bit faster so I can make some for the store. There's a lot of hand stitching and I am having fun with them. Three more are cut out and ready to sew, probably not ruffles on all of those though since they are a bit labor intensive and drive the price up. I'll make some crochet ones too.
I was roasting and hulling chestnuts yesterday (from the farmer's market) and got a big blister on my hand, it's not likely I'll be working very fast til it heals. I have been weaving and sewing and spinning and haven't knit since Friday....feels very odd, but I guess I needed a break. I woke up this morning and assessed the state of my hat bin, realizing no hats of certain colors existed and guess I need to remedy that - though I suppose I should round up all the strays first. There are lots of hats scattered in different rooms, cause I am ALWAYS cold in the summer in the air conditioning, even at the compromise of 74 degrees that Doyle and I have reached. I suppose that is only fair - he is always hot too.
Last - today is the last day to sign up for Knitting 101 and the chullo hat class. So if you know anyone who was planning to take either of these, have 'em call today.
