Yesterday I had two yarn reps here in the afternoon and oohh the yummy things they showed me. There was the KFI rep and there is soooo much Noro on the way it is scary. It will probably dribble in over the next few months because that's what they do....but my, is it pretty, new colors and new yarns, including a lace weight silk garden......and some great Noro books too.
The Cascade rep - Susan was here too. More new and fun things coming from them too...lots of it. There is also new Schaefer hand dyed yumminess here too - she always brings some cash & carry with her. I am making a cowl of some Elaine. There will be a free pattern with purchase for that one starting tomorrow for the first free pattern Saturday (here's a picture, but I haven't gotton the pattern written yet, but plan to get to that today along with another one I did this week) Yes, I have gone cowl crazy...It's the book, now that I got that done I am doing more, seems like one every two days or so....
This is the start of the Schaefer Elaine one - it'll be a fauxbius ribbed thing....the colors, on my monitor at least, are not true - that blue is more navy and the reddish pink is really more maroon. And next is the Leaf cowl I did in some handspun from fiber I had dyed. This pattern will be available on Ravelry (free) soon.
