Thanks to Karen I had Saturday off and went and played. Yes I knitted while I played but still I was away. I was at an estate auction which is a fun thing I haven't gotten to do in quite a while. So I got a set of nice everyday china for 8 for $25 - and some other things too. I wasn't planning to buy that but you can only watch people buy stuff for so long without being affected and wanting to bid on something. I made another cowl with some handspun yarn while I was watching people get into bidding wars. It'll be blocked and buttoned by Thursday. Speaking of cowls, Doyle worked all day Friday to make the booklet of cowls print correctly and it is out now.
The newsletter is out too and I will stick a copy of it here too - well, at the link to it off to the side there....I forgot to mention in the newsletter about this year's charity knitting project. We are collecting things for folks at the VA Hospital - hats, cowls, scarves, mittens, whatever you feel like making. I will take some up there around the first of December and again in January so there's no rush except that it'll be cold soon. If you could attach a card with washing instructions, fiber type and that sort of thing it would help. Maybe even add a note of support if you like.
