Sign up for Secret Scarf club by Monday if you haven't already. Only Saturday really has any room left in it at the moment. Sign ups for July will be available after Monday.
I have finished several projects and here they are:
This pattern is available from Crysal Palace's website for free. It called the Flower Garden Shawl and is made with Mini Mochi - not the funnest yarn to work with (always pull from the outside of the ball) but it is really pretty and soft, which mostly makes up for being difficult. It was incredibly fast crocheting, a lot of sewing though. Definitely worth the sewing I think. I will order more of this yarn Monday, but there is some to get you started already. I did change the pattern a bit (of course). It called for an edge of all green squares and I put the green around each "flower" instead.
Then there is this....
I love this. It is called Summer Flies and is free on Ravelry. It called for worsted weight yarn - I used Asland Trends Class which technically is a sport weight but it worked quite well and is shiney and pretty. (A little splitty to work with but blocks out to look very good) It was two skeins. This pattern was so well written that I didn't change a thing besides yarn weight. It was so well written that I think this is a great beginning lace project for just about anyone.
And then I finished the Gaia Shoulder Hug...
And of course anything done in Noro is lovely, pretty though not very soft and only a little difficult (this appears to be my theme today)....hmmm
I started an entrelac vest in cotton - really only parts of will be entrelac....wait you'll see more of it soon....
Are there any graphic artists out there who would be willing to donate some time helping us with a logo (we have ideas already, just need computer art abilities) for the fiber festival in the fall? Email me if you are willing...
