Just thought I'd inspire some jealousy

this is the view from our window

Giant redwoods everywhere...tee hee.  it is very good here. 

I went to a yarn shop (1 of 7 in the area) and got locally hand spun yarns.....It was tiny, but for the size well stocked.  Really tiny - one room, about 10X15 feet.  I can't imagine spending 9 hours a day in a room that small no matter how awesome the yarn is......

Doyle is loving it here too.  Says I chose a good place.  It is a small town on the coast about 240 miles north of San Freancisco and just beautiful everywhere you look.  Though there is the little sign you see now and then - warning - Tsunami danger zone.....but hey whats' a little water and earthquakes and constant rain when it is this pretty. 

We went to the food co-op this morning too and I am frankly very envious - it is a community owned store with lots and lots of yummy things we never see in TN and cheaper and no sales tax on food ...Doyle a picture there too.

Four kinds of Kale, five colors of beets, lots of rainbow chard, it is veggie heaven.

 

The yarn was all moved...

then it is moving day.  I have been knitting things for the new displays, not sure I will ever get caught up though.

Adventures in Agriculture at the Lane Agri Park - go, its fun and interesting and free.  There's stuff for everyone and you learn things too.  9-1pm.  We'll be in the barn area with the animals and other fiber people.

Knitscene

came in this morning with some pretty fabulous summer knitting projects in it.  There are some unusual patterns, and fun things to try.

Two weeks and counting

I can hardly keep myself from packing it all up already......But there are cool things happening before we move.  Next Saturday is Adventures in Agriculture Day at Lane Agri Park and it'll be fun for the kids and grand kids.  9-1, Come learn about where your food and clothing come from.

 

For those in the Afghan Class - Cast on 41 stitches, knit the usual 8 rows.

There are books!   Seriously, there are lots of books.  I probably should have waited to order them, but oh well.  Lots of books, really.  The UPS guy sort of complained - that's a lot of heavy books.  So I put  'em out anyway......took  most of the day....of course I had to look too, that probably slowed me down some.

 

And in case anyone is wondering about the new place...the carpet went down today, lots of finishing touches over the next day or two and then I can decorate .....

The April Knews is Out.

There is not much to report about the new space - it is getting done, Doyle is having fun supervising the remodel.  I am excited about designing the space and have some fun things in mind.  We are still on schedule!
