My New Favorite Scarf

This is made from super bulky hand dyed yarns, a bit of a special yarn I bought a while back, and it is super warm and cozy.  Also super fast to knit.  Jsut cast on 15 stitches and knit, changing yarns whenever you like.  You could also do it with some of the new bulky that came in over the last two weeks and a skein of Knit Collages very special hand spun yarns....

Oh and new Raggi colors are here too.

Look at this adorable hat

Nancy brought this in when she came to knitting group for the first time yesterday and it is just completely adorable.  She is working on the matching sweater too.

We have new yarn! Duh!  Lots of new bulky yarns, a simple hat pattern to use on them, a few new novelty yarns that are just over the top, and some new sock yarns.  Can we say very crowded shelves?

 

Red Sweater Day

Kim T. brought in her beautiful newly knitted red sweater. Thanks for showing us your finished project! She added a fancy little edging to the hems.

For the Afghan Square of the Month Folks: Cast on 42, knit 8 rows garter st, then 4 rows stockinette. Bring two colors.

My New Scarf Book

is being printed by Doyle as I write this.  I thought I would post pictures but it appears typepad is not allowing me to at the moment (Karen, what happened to that little icon up there, I know you know where it is!)

I designed the scarves for new to intermediate knitters. It is designed to help new knitters grow their skills, and most are enough to keep intermediate knitters interested too.  Some of the patterns have been around the store for a while, many are totally new. 

Raggi x 2

We've restocked Raggi, the heavy sock yarn, with colors we loved from last year and new colors introduced this year.

 

And we've added new Mini Raggi, its fingering weight cousin!

Pam's Project

Our customer Pam used about 600 yards of Lana Grossa "Lace Merino Print" to work up this design called SimpleLines by Anat Rodan Design. Pam calls her version Simple "Shades of Gray" Lines Shawl. Simple stockinette and garter ridges but oh so effective with this lace-weight. Shawl pin is from the store, too.

That New Noro did it

I had to entrelac.....It came in Friday and demanded to be used.  This is Kirara, a blend of wool, silk, angora and cotton.
