This yarn is made from flyers and newspapers and such.......  Here's the link for more of the artist's neat stuff .  He has been using  recycled materials to make works of art for decades.  It's pretty cool.  

We will start the April Showers of Deals* early I think.  This first one is today....The book Knit Green is 40% off today and Friday. The book is about sustainable knitting. (In stock only, no special orders) And there's a bit of yarn in the store called Vita from Plymouth yarns. What remains  of Vita is on sale too at 45% off.  The yarn is recycled Cashmere and Cotton spun into yummy luxury.

Robin and I have moved so many things around in the last two days.  I had to soak in a very hot tub when I got home......

Spring Cleaning Days Sale

It is almost Spring and I want to clean (it is a rarely felt urge so I am going to do it).  We are having a Spring Cleaning Sale this week - Thursday, Friday,  Saturday and Sunday!  I am ruthless with spring cleaning and old things have to go.  Many yarns will be 50% off, and nothing less than 30% off the regular price!  Did I mention magazines will be 40% off and selected books 40% off too?  And that I have some store samples for sale cheap?

There will be a daily special of one yarn or company's yarn on sale for 15 to 25% off as well so check here, on facebook and twitter for the announcement of that early in the day.  It might be a good idea just to come in every day to check what's new...

Then Monday and Tuesday we'll be moving everything around....

Robin's Knit Along

Robin has proposed a knitalong for the Zephyr Shawl.  This is a kit and pattern by Great Adirondack.  A fairly easy pattern with several yarn choices available.  The kits will be leaving here a little earlier than I thought. I am packing the show up on Thursday the 14th and mailing them out first thing on the 15th. To participate get your kit before the 14th.  They are all very yummy in the hand painted yarns.  You can then meet on Tuesday, March 19th at 4pm to get started.
